Florachem enters development agreement with Austin American Technology (AAT) Corp.

posted August 20, 2009

Florachem Corp. and Austin American Technology Corp. (Burnet, TX) have agreed to cooperate in the joint development of new cleaning agents for solvent cleaning equipment. Under this development agreement, Florachem will develop, manufacture and market new solvent-based products for use in new and existing AAT cleaning equipment designs.

This agreement represents a strategic fit for Florachem, who offers a variety of environmentally responsible solvent alternatives to petroleum distillates, chlorinated solvents and certain ozone depleting halogenated solvents. AAT, a leading supplier of aqueous and solvent cleaning equipment to the global electronics industry, is one of a few manufacturers of cleaning equipment suitable for handling Florachem’s CitraFlor™ terpene-based cleaning agents for electronics defluxing and stencil cleaning. This agreement will apply to process cleaning applications beyond electronics assembly and component manufacture.
