The Florachem Advantage
After nearly 20 years as specialty distributor of pine, citrus by products and aroma chemicals, Florachem purchased a state-of-the-art citrus oil processing plant. This plant came equipped with a high vacuum fractional distillation unit capable a producing millions of pounds of food grade orange terpenes, folded orange oil, and high purity limonene annually. Soon after the purchase, the decision was made to develop, brand and market terpene-based precision cleaning agents using the plant and its distillation capability as the cornerstone.
Our Performance Products manufacturing plant is in Mission, Texas, strategically located near the South Texas and Mexican citrus groves. The Mission plant is also convenient to citrus by-products coming from California, Florida and Brazil. The facility is well equipped to handle large volumes of citrus and pine derivatives with more than 1.5 million pounds of raw material storage and more than 300,000 pounds of finished product storage capacity. The entire operation is situated adjacent to a citrus juice processing plant, with most of the production area certified food grade and Kosher including the vacuum distillation area. We also have another distillation facility in Atlacomulco, Mexico and warehouses situated in Newark (NJ), Chicago, and Jacksonville.
We use only highly refined citrus terpenes in the CitraFlor™ product line to ensure our customers get the lowest odor citrus-based product that is consistent in purity and non-volatile residue. While CitraFlor terpene-based technology is the answer for many cleaning applications, it is not a panacea. Florachem also offers popular halogenated solvents, based on n-Propyl Bromide and Solkane 365, for vapor degreasing applications. Vapor degreasing remains the cleaning process of choice for many who cannot or choose not to use water in their cleaning operations.
